Tajimaya Yakiniku Christmas Winter Buri Feast 2026

Festive Japanese Christmas Dinner in Singapore 2026: Feast with Buri, Wagyu and a Kanpai at Tajimaya Yakiniku

Looking for a Japanese Christmas dinner in Singapore? From 1 November to 31 December 2026, Tajimaya Yakiniku at Great World is celebrating "Buri at Tajimaya: A Japanese Winter": six dishes of buri (Japanese yellowtail) from $12.90++, alongside its charcoal-grilled yakiniku, with a Kurisumasu Kanpai free-flow drinks pairing from $38++.

Here's how to put together a Japanese-style Christmas dinner, in three parts.

Celebrate Christmas with Tajimaya Yakiniku Festive Japanese Winter Buri Feast

Start With Winter Buri

Buri is the Japanese name for yellowtail. Tajimaya Yakiniku describes it as "prized for its rich, buttery flavour and delicate texture". This Christmas, it comes six ways:

  • Buri Sashimi: $16.90++

  • Buri Sushi: $12.90++

  • Buri Maki: $12.90++

  • Buri Chirashi Don: $16.90++

  • Buri Kama Yaki: $22.90++

  • Buri Carpaccio: $23.90++

Tip: share a raw dish (sashimi or carpaccio) and a cooked one (the kama yaki, grilled buri collar) to taste the fish both ways.

Fire Up the Grill

Tajimaya is a yakiniku restaurant, so the heart of the meal is grilling at your own table on a smokeless charcoal grill. Choose from the à la carte menu, where A5 Miyazaki and A5 Kagoshima wagyu start from $68.90 per 120g, or the buffet, from $59.90++ at lunch and $69.90++ at dinner.

Grilling together keeps everyone at the table talking, which is exactly what a Christmas dinner should do.

Raise a Kurisumasu Kanpai

"Kurisumasu" is Japanese for Christmas, and "kanpai" means cheers. The Kurisumasu Kanpai beverage pairing ($38++ / $48++) gives you 90 minutes of free-flow soft drinks, tea, juices, draft beer, house wine, house sake and highball. Guests must be 18 or older for alcoholic drinks.

Celebrating With a Small Group? Book a Private Room

Tajimaya's Great World outlet has private dining rooms for up to 8 guests, with dedicated staff and smokeless charcoal grills. They suit a family Christmas dinner, a team celebration or a small group of friends. Request one when you book.
