Wagyu Ring Feast at Tajimaya Yakiniku: A5 Wagyu on One Ring

Tajimaya Yakiniku is a Japanese yakiniku restaurant at Great World, Singapore, where you grill premium Wagyu yourself at the table. From 1 October 2026, Tajimaya is serving the Tajimaya Black Wagyu Ring Feast: a ring of Japanese Wagyu cuts laid around your table grill, with sides, rice or noodles, soup and dessert. Choose the Wagyu Ring Feast at $88++ per person with 6 Wagyu cuts, or the Wagyu Ring Feast Premium at $108++ per person with 7 Wagyu cuts, including A5 Miyazaki and A5 Kagoshima Wagyu.

What Is the Tajimaya Black Wagyu Ring Feast?

Wagyu Ring Feast at Tajimaya Yakiniku Portrait Image

The Wagyu Ring Feast is a yakiniku set built around one idea: every Wagyu cut arrives at once, arranged in a wooden ring around the grill. Each cut is labelled, so you can see what you are grilling and compare cuts side by side, from richly marbled ribeye to firmer, beefier chuck.

Beyond the Wagyu, the feast comes with sashimi, Kurobuta pork, Hokkaido scallops, sides, rice or noodles, soup and dessert, so it is a complete meal rather than just a meat platter.

Which Wagyu Cuts Are in the Premium Ring?

The Premium ring features three A5 cuts from two of Japan's best-known Wagyu prefectures:

·         A5 Miyazaki Ribeye: typically one of the most marbled cuts, rich and buttery. Grill briefly on each side.

·         A5 Kagoshima Oysterblade: from the shoulder, with fine marbling and a tender, slightly firmer bite.

·         A5 Kagoshima Chuck Ribs: deeply beefy with generous fat; good with a little more time on the grill.

What Does A5 Wagyu Mean?

A5 is the top grade in Japan's beef grading system, managed by the Japan Meat Grading Association. The letter (A to C) is the yield grade, meaning how much usable meat the carcass gives; A is the highest. The number (1 to 5) is the quality grade, judged on marbling, meat colour and brightness, firmness and texture, and fat colour and quality. A quality grade of 5 requires a Beef Marbling Standard (BMS) score of 8 to 12, the most marbled range (see this Wagyu grading guide).

Why Miyazaki and Kagoshima Wagyu?

Miyazaki and Kagoshima are neighbouring prefectures in southern Kyushu, and both perform at the top of Japan's National Wagyu Competition, the "Wagyu Olympics" held every five years.

At Tajimaya, you can see the Kagoshima Wagyu and Miyazaki Gyu certification plaques displayed at the restaurant.

Is the Wagyu Ring Feast Worth It?

Most Wagyu meals give you one cut and ask you to trust it. The Ring Feast does the opposite: it puts the choices in front of you and lets you find your own favourite, one slice at a time. There's something about cooking it yourself that slows the evening down. Conversation happens between turns at the grill, and someone always claims they've perfected the timing. It's the kind of dinner you remember for who you shared it with, not just what you ate. Bring someone worth sharing the ring with.
